Haley Klein, Rainy Day in Cherokee Park

Diptych, Acrylic paint and gold leaf on canvas, 12 x 24 in., 2020

During this strange season, our green spaces are more important than ever, providing opportunities for the mind to rest and the body to move. Haley relies on our green spaces for support, too, and her painting, Rainy Day in Cherokee Park, was inspired by a hilltop view taken in while walking there in the spring. Presented as a diptych, it celebrates the beauty found right in our neighborhood, where the sky meets the tree line.
