Rheonna Nicole, The Mouth and The Hair

Poetry, 2020

During this quarantine, the time at home has allowed me to reflect on things including my body and I started writing short appreciation poems. Even in quarantine people are pressured to lose weight. They focus on how they look, while just trying to survive. I challenge the community to embrace their bodies through poetry--look in the mirror and admire the beauty in your own reflection.
