The Connection (O’Brian’s song) was composed in response to the corrupt, capitalist society in which we live and its uncanny resemblance to the dystopian novel 1984 by George Orwell. The song is part of the work-in-progress album, The Observee, a collection of songs based on the concept of surveillance and that we are oblivious to the true motives of the reality in which we exist.
